Hola! I'm entering my fifth year (whew, almost there!) in
the Chemical Engineering and Pulp and Paper Technology dual
degree program and squeezing in a Spanish minor. I've been
an RA for a total of 2 ½ years over in Sullivan Hall.
I was craving some upper-class action, so I switched over to
where the big kids play!
Although my family has lived in good ol' Pilot Mountain, NC
for six years now, I'm originally from Albuquerque, NM. But
these aren't the only places I've lived. I love to travel and
have taken advantage of my college years to live in cities
like Houston, Boston, and Seattle for summers and semesters.
If you ever want to know about using internships or study-abroad
to go wherever you want to go, you can always ask me for advice.
As for other interests, MUSIC is my most biggest love. I'm
especially into jazz, hard rock, blues, classic rock, and particularly
grunge music (like you older folks, I'm a child of that era).
I also adore rock climbing, hiking, camping, canoeing
.pretty
much anything where I can get dirty and have a great time outdoors.
Reading, hanging out with good friends, and going to concerts
fill up most of my other playtime.
You will probably soon find out that I'm a freak about the
environment. It's the one thing I never get tired of learning
about or talking about. And remember, the recycle bins are
oh so convenient, so pleeeeease use them!
Above all, my motto is "think deeper". Don't just
go for the surface explanation or the effortlessly acquired
answer!!
